Mist of Rouge

Mist of Rouge

Mist of Rouge started in June 1999 on Matina Records, Kisaki's first label. During their formation period, the band changed members several times. Despite this, by 2000, the band settled down and released their first demo, Kyoumo naru Kurokiri, on Valentine's Day with a second demo, Karei naru Shiromu following the next month.

On March 22nd, Mist of Rouge went on tour with Eze:quL and had several events throughout the year. The end of 2000 brought a new demo as well as a maxi which were released and sold through specialized shops. Mist of Rouge also took part in a Matina omnibus and the corresponding live events.

The band's next releases were two demos which lead up to their first mini album, Trick, in August. They participated in a series of lives with Garden and Allure idea before releasing a collaboration maxi-single. The three groups also formed the session band Mist of Garden, which covered the music of other visual kei indies artists. By this point, Mist of Rouge's popularity had soared, and they held many one-man events through the remainder of 2001.

The band stayed rather quiet in the beginning of 2002 but broke the silence in June with the release of the mini album Renai ROCK’N’ ROLL, which gained them multitudes of new fans as well as satisfying their current ones. They held a two-man event with Lubis Cadir at Meguro Rock May Kan on June 30th. 2002 was ended with the last live of the Matina Label at On Air Osaka, which Mist of Rouge performed at.

In early 2003, Mist of Rouge was one of the few bands which transferred with Kisaki to his new label Under Code Productions. This change would not bring new activity however, and the band announced their intention to disband shortly after releasing another demo. Mist of Rouge held their last show on April 20th, 2003 at Izaka BOOMIN HALL. One month later, as a final thanks to their fans, they released the farewell single The Fog Has Cleared Up.

After the group disbanded, Mist of Rouge's members moved onto other bands. Today, Enya Tomoyuki and Satsuki are the only members still in the visual kei scene. Enya Tomoyuki is playing bass for 12012 while Satsuki is now in D=OUT under the name Kouki.
