MIRAGE

After Kisaki's departure from La:Sadie's, MIRAGE was formed in 1997 with the starting line up of Tomo and Yayoi from Sense of Shape on vocals and guitar, Rui on guitar, Kisaki on bass and Hiro on drums.

The band's first year was a busy one, and they released their first demo on April 7th, followed soon by a second demo and a mini album. Their releases continued steadily into the next year with two more demos which were distributed on Valentine's day at their concert.

In spring 1998, Tomo abruptly left the band but was quickly replaced by Akira. Upon his arrival, the visuals and sound of MIRAGE became harder and darker. Their first release with Akira was the mini album Risk en Eve on December 23nd and remains to this day their most popular release.

In 1999, things were going great for this new incarnation of MIRAGE. They participated in many tours and released both a new single and a VHS in September. However, the harmony was short lived, and the band confirmed the rumors of dissolution that had been circulating the fan base in the fall. MIRAGE held their last tour during the winter months and their official disbandment was in January 2000. MIRAGE left a good-bye present to their fans in the form of a box set entitled To Escape containing a live VHS and a CD.
