Dué le Quartz was formed in December 1998 by Sakito and Ken. Soon afterwards, two more members joined the band - Kikasa and Kazuki (ex-Je*Reviens). In the beginning of their career, they toured mainly between Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka. They played their first ever live on February 14 1999, in Takadanobaba Area. They followed that with a gig at Ikebukuro Cyber and various other well known live houses. Also during this same time they appeared on tv for the first time.

Shortly after their live at Shibuya Deseo, in May 1999, Ken left the band. Musical differences were given as the official reason behind his departure. After a month of searching for a new guitarist, a new member called Miyabi joined the band.

Their career was flourishing. In April they played an extraordinary live in Osaka, and December witnessed the release of the first press of their mini-album entitled Mikansei no Jekyll to Hyde~Wakage no Hitari~ (which was followed by two more pressings). The band's songs were featured on two omnibuses - Tribal Millenium Arrival and Matina Prelude. Their next mini-album was released in May 2000, and their first DVD came out in July.

The group had become so popular by this time, that August 1st witnessed the opening of their official fanclub, Baby Merry. After that came another omnibus album Shock Edge 2000, maxi-singles Dear...from xxx disc-1 and Dear...from xxx disc-2, the second edition of Jisatsu Ganbou, concerts, photoshoots, and more.

In September 2002, Dué le Quartz disbanded. Miyabi began a successful solo career as Miyavi, and Sakito and Kikasa formed the band [FIGURe;]. Though Dué le Quartz has been disbanded for many years, they still have a large fanbase that follows the ex members faithfully, waiting to see what the future will bring from these talented musicians.
