Sakamoto Ryuichi Trio to Tour Europe

World-renowned composer and musician Sakamoto Ryuichi is set to tour Europe with his trio in October and November.

Accompanied by Jaques Morelenbaum and newly-auditioned talent Judy Kang on violin, the trio will play music from Sakamoto's album 1996, which features music used in the soundtracks for "The Last Emperor", "Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence", "The Sheltering Sky" and "High Heels", as well as showcasing new material.

The tour will kick off in France on October 29th and the trio will go on to perform in the UK, Germany, Belgium, Italy and Spain, with the final date in Portugal on November 21st. The UK date will take place on November 1st in London at the Southbank Centre's Royal Festival Hall.
