Electronica/Techno Musician Harakami Rei Passes Away

It has been announced that electronica/techno musician Harakami Rei passed away on the evening of July 27th due to a cerebral hemorrhage.

Harakami Rei was born in Hiroshima in 1970 and later moved to Kyoto to pursue a musical career. Aside from his own prolific solo career, Harakami also produced and remixed various tracks for artists such as UA, Quruli and Illreme amongst others. In 2007, Harakami also formed the unit yanokami with pop/jazz musician Yano Akiko.
