Yu Sakai Live EP on iTunes

Solo artist Yu Sakai will release a live EP, titled Live from Tokyo, through Sony Independent Network and in collaboration with the iTunes Store.

Sakai’s performance at the Apple Store Ginza in May launched Live from Tokyo, which will be exclusively released on the Japan and US iTunes stores as an EP on August 31st. It is part of iTunes’ original music series where live sessions are recorded at the Apple stores in London, New York, Tokyo, Montreal, Sydney, Munich and various other cities. Sakai was also nominated to be featured in the highly regarded iTunes Japan Sound of 2010.

The live EP will feature performances of his original hit songs Ushimitsubito and Train, as well as his very popular covers of Sade’s Kiss of Life and Marvin Gaye’s What’s Going On.

On September 9th, Sakai will launch his solo tour Yu Sakai Tour 2010 Yes!! in Nagoya.
