New Male Unit: Naked Boyz

Musical unit Naked Boyz, who describe themselves as the male version of AKB48, made their debut performance on August 19th.

The newly formed unit consists of 44 members, with ages varing from 16 to 30 years old. Amongst the members are several actors known from television, film and stage productions such as Motoki Ochiai, Tatsuya Kishida, Kazuki Shimizu and Yūta Takahashi.

Naked Boyz plan to perform several times a year at their "base" at the Live Hall Face in Tokyo and will appear at the annual charity marathon 24-Hour Television on NTV on August 28th.
