ZARD's Theme for Detective Conan

ZARD will release a posthumous single on April 9th. Tsubasa wo hirogete was originally penned by Sakai Izumi in 1993 for the band DEEN, who released the title track as part of their second single. Sakai had previously recorded the song herself ten years ago, but the song had yet to feature on a physical release or be performed in concert. Tsubasa wo hirogete will be used as the theme for the latest movie in the "Detective Conan" franchise, "Detective Conan: Full Score of Fear". Fans of ZARD will of course know that Izumi provided several songs for the series during her lifetime. The single will also feature the B-side Ai wa kurayami no naka de and a reversible "Detective Conan" card.

The CD+DVD version of the single will include live footage of Kitto Wasurenai taken from the ZARD What a beautiful memory performance held at Budokan on September 14, 2007.
