Koda Kumi & EXILE to Record Duet

Koda Kumi, who will be releasing a new double A-side, Yume no Uta/Futari de..., on October 18th, will also be recording a duet with EXILE. They will be re-recording the Bubblegum Brothers classic WON'T BE LONG. The original song was released in 1990, spent more than 44 weeks in the Oricon Charts and is a karaoke standard. This collaboration was originally discussed in May as Kumi wished to have a 'festive' duet with a male artist. EXILE have long since been performing WON'T BE LONG in their lives and it was a natural choice for the collaboration. Male and female duets have very rare success in Japan, so it will interesting to see whether or not their collaboration single will rule the charts. The single is scheduled for a November 22nd release but other details aren't known at the moment.
