"POP YOURS" Launches "BOARDIN'" Project with Yvng Patra "Beatjack" Version of ralph's "Selfish"

The hip-hop festival POP YOURS recently launched a new project called "BOARDIN’".

"BOARDIN’" aims to present both the continuity and diversity of Japan's hip-hop scene through "beatjacks" of songs that have helped to colour the musical landscape. It hopes to highlight the depth and charm of hip-hop culture by having various artists reinterpret these well-known songs.

The first video from the series features rapper Yvng Patra, who is performing on Day 2 of the festival this year, using the beat from Selfish, a popular song from ralph, who is also performing on the same day. The original beat was produced by Double Clapperz.

POP YOURS 2026 will be held at Makuhari Messe on April 3rd, 4th and 5th.
