Nissy Leaves AAA

Nissy, aka Takahiro Nishijima, officially announced his departure from pop group AAA on February 11th.

In a message on his official website, it was stated that Nishijima recently underwent his fourth throat surgery and will require long-term medical treatment and recuperation. With this in mind, after carefully discussing his health and future activities with his staff, he concluded that leaving AAA would be the best option.

Regarding his solo activities as Nissy, it was noted that he is considering continuing at his own pace while prioritizing his physical recovery.

Nishijima made his major debut with AAA with the single BLOOD on FIRE in September 2005. He has also been active as a drama and film actor over the years, appearing in works such as Sion Sono's "Love Exposure". He made his solo debut under the name Nissy in August 2013.
