Major Debut EP from TRiDENT

Rock band TRiDENT released their major debut EP BLUE DAWN on November 5th.

On the same day, the music video for the EP’s lead track Reimei no Uta was also unveiled. This track was composed and arranged by Nob of MY FIRST STORY, with lyrics written by TRiDENT vocalist and guitarist ASAKA. The song is described as "a rock anthem befitting their major debut, expressing the resolve of those who continue to move forward while holding onto hope, even amid darkness."

The song's music video was directed by Naoki Arima. Arima’s unique visual design and color direction aim to bring to life the core theme of BLUE DAWN, the moment of awakening. The video contrasts intense red-toned performance scenes with monochrome imagery. In the performance shots, beams of light pierce the darkness, symbolizing the band’s journey toward a new dawn. Meanwhile, the monochrome narrative scenes depict a man who has lost his light and a woman who guides him, serving as a symbolic portrayal of dawn.

Vocalist and guitarist ASAKA commented:

“Even if you wander through a long, dark night, as long as you keep your faith and move forward, morning will surely come — that’s the message I wanted to express. The MV beautifully portrays that ‘dawn’ through its dramatic storytelling and use of color. I hope this song can become a light of hope for as many people as possible.”

Bassist SERINA commented:

“Just as new light shone on our long band journey, this song expresses that dawn through the color red — symbolizing both daybreak and our burning passion for music. Please feel the world of breaking free from pain and struggle, and stepping into a new future.”

Drummer NAGISA commented:

“I poured the strength to move forward into every single drumbeat. The actors’ performances in the monochrome scenes moved me so deeply that I almost cried during filming. I want my drumming to support the feeling of never losing hope, even in hardship.”
