On November 8th, it was announced that
RYOKI has officially left dance-vocal group
BE:FIRST.
The announcement was made via
a message on the group’s official website, which is available in both Japanese and English. It states that
RYOKI and
BE:FIRST’s six other members held numerous discussions and, after careful consideration,
have decided that walking separate paths is the best decision for them to continue pursuing their respective dreams.
It states that the six remaining members deeply appreciate the time they spent with
RYOKI and that they will continue to pursue higher quality performances and aim to create work that their fans will love. The message also encouraged fans to continue
to support both
RYOKI and the members who will be continuing their activities together in a new formation.
RYOKI went on a hiatus from activities with
BE:FIRST this July after details about his relationship troubles with a woman became public, causing a scandal. In August, it was announced that he had married actress
Shuri, and
she gave birth to their first child in September.
Born in 1999,
RYOKI debuted as a member of
BE:FIRST in 2021 after he was selected as one of the winners of the audition program “THE FIRST”, hosted by
SKY-HI. He has also been active as an actor under the name
Ryoki Miyama since before auditioning for “THE FIRST”.
