Need a Flex and Kamui Release Collaboration Single

Need a Flex and Kamui's collaboration single "WHY DO WE FALL?", a track created during the first installment of the "IN THE BOOTH" live stream project, is out on digital platforms worldwide now.

Rappers Need a Flex and Kamui released a new collaboration single on September 29th.

WHY DO WE FALL? was created during the first installment of "IN THE BOOTH", a project featured on Kamui's Twitch channel RAF_Studio. The project sees various guest artists record songs live on stream in Kamui's studio space.

The track uses a beat Kamui created under his producer alias 3-i. Need a Flex improvised his lyrics live on stream, giving it a raw energy, and Kamui added vocals to the track himself afterwards, leading to this joint official release. The track is said to combine a base with the characteristic aggressive energy of rage with an addictive pop hook.

The song's title comes from a quote from the movie "Batman Begins", representing the two artists' determination to continue advancing despite the complications that arise in the music scene.

In addition, it was recently announced that a live event called RAFLIVE organized by Kamui and the co-host of his RAF_Studio live streams Poser Shiraishi will be held at Shimokitazawa SPREAD in Tokyo on November 1st. The line-up will include Kamui and Need a Flex, their frequent collaborators Myghty Tommy and Nia Varan, as well as a number of other artists who have participated in RAF_Studio streams, including e5, Lisa lil vinci, Siero and jellyy. SOKI, a contestant from the ABEMA hip-hop audition show "RAPSTAR 2025" that Kamui and Shiraishi praised in their on-stream reactions to the show, will also be performing in a "shot live" slot for newcomer artists.

Need a Flex was also one of the 40 contestants chosen to progress to the "SELECTION CYPHER" round of "RAPSTAR 2025", but it was recently revealed that both he and SOKI were not among the 12 chosen to progress to the next stage.
