Singer and voice actress Rico Sasaki will release a new single on August 27th.
The title track, Majestic Catastrophe, will serve as the opening theme of the "nation-building fantasy" anime series "Apocalypse Bringer Mynoghra: World Conquest Starts with the Civilization of Ruin," which will premiere this July.
Majestic Catastrophe is said to build on Sasaki's signature rock sound while venturing into new territory with a symphonic metal style that reflects the anime's world.
The single will also include two additional tracks, one of which features lyrics written by Sasaki herself.
Hailing from the Akita Prefecture, Rico Sasaki has a voice that resonates with a soulful quality despite her petite stature. In addition to her work as a singer, she has lent her voice to characters such as Misumi Uika/Doloris
in "BanG Dream! Ave Mujica," Mewi in "Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf!," Daia Nijinosaki in "Kiratto Pri Chan," Ayako Yamada in "Kageki Shojo!!," and Chisa Sasuga in "World Dai Star."
