New Digital Single from ONE OR EIGHT

Boy group ONE OR EIGHT released their latest single, DSTM, on March 19th.

The track features a sample from Rihanna's hit Don't Stop The Music, but with a distinctive ONE OR EIGHT twist. The song is said to offer a modern and energetic reinterpretation, blending rap, melodic hooks and hip-hop beats. The production was handled by Stargate, the producer behind Rihanna's original track. Working alongside young American songwriters, Stargate updated the song while preserving its original essence.

To accompany the release, the group also unveiled a futuristic music video. Set in a city overtaken by technological advancements where music and art have been extinguished, ONE OR EIGHT embarks on "a mission to restore cultural essence." The video was directed by Glenn Michael and edited by Mykyta Bereg. The visual effects were crafted by Gianluigi Carella from Impossible Objects.

TSUBASA, a member of ONE OR EIGHT, shared:

"I was thrilled when I first heard the demo of DSTM, but I also felt some pressure because Don't Stop The Music is such an iconic and beloved song. I hope this track inspires everyone to keep chasing their dreams."

Stargate also commented:

They brought their own unique style and personality to every part of the track. It was a lot of fun to revisit this song with them. The fact that ONE OR EIGHT is Japanese, Rihanna is Bajan, the chorus is Cameroonian, and we are Norwegian shows how music truly connects people."

At the "MTV VMA Japan" on March 19th, ONE OR EIGHT was honored with the "Upcoming Dance & Vocal Group" award, recognizing emerging artists making waves in the dance and vocal group scene. They also performed DSTMlive.

Additionally, ONE OR EIGHT will hold their ONE OR EIGHT FAN MEETING: SHŪKAI in the Americas in April 2025. This event will give fans the opportunity to meet the members of ONE OR EIGHT and enjoy their live performances.
