The group will disband following their one-man live at EDGE Ikebukuro on April 8th. The announcement was made via a message posted on their official website. It stated that while SHIVA have been able to continue their activities without slowing
down until now, even adapting to changes in their line-up, a gap has emerged between the band's current state and the members' ideal way of handling their activities. They stated that, in order to create a better future for the three members, they
have decided to bring their history together as SHIVA to an end.
The members apologized to their fans and other supporters for the sad news. They stated that all three of them intend to continue with music, so they would be happy if fans will continue to support them if they meet again somewhere in the future.
SHIVA also announced that they will release a best-of album titled HISTORY TO SHIVAIZM on March 26th. The compilation will contain 18 tracks, including songs that were previously only released digitally, remixed and re-recorded tracks and
one new song.
SHIVA was formed in 2015 by four ex-members of the visual kei band Crimson Shiva. However, the band's original guitarists departed shortly after and bassist NATSUKI withdrew from the group in August 2022, leaving vocalist TOKIYA the only remaining
carryover from Crimson Shiva. The band's line-up has been completed by guitarist DAICHI and drummer YUKITO since 2018.
