Kazuma Kawamura, a member of dance-vocal group THE RAMPAGE, will be making his solo debut under Bandai Namco Music Live’s label MoooD Records. He will be performing under the artist name “L.E.I.”.

It was explained that changing his artist name from Kazuma (written with the character for “one”) to L.E.I. (meaning “zero” in Japanese) reflects his desire for a fresh start as an artist. This new name is also said to represent "the limitless possibilities of the future and his determination to take on challenges in news fields while respecting his past experiences."

His debut song, Enter, was written to serve as the opening theme for the anime series "I Left My A-Rank Party to Help My Former Students Reach the Dungeon Depths." It depicts the protagonist Yuke’s determination to follow his dreams through a difficult path and highlights the strong bonds he shares with his comrades.

L.E.I.’s first CD single will be released on January 29th, 2025. It will contain four tracks, including Enter, a currently untitled B-side and instrumental versions of both songs. It will be available in three editions: an Artist Edition, an Anime Edition and a Limited First Press Edition, the latter of which includes a special 7-inch EP-sized package with deluxe extras.

Kazuma Kawamura commented:

"From 'one' to 'zero.' Zero, with infinite possibilities. As a creator, I will attempt to give shape to those possibilities. I will strive to break free from conventions and change the world through my music and words, reaching people wherever I can. If my career thus far can be seen as 'one,' then 'zero' represents a new starting point for everything. With this mindset, I have decided to embark on my journey as the solo artist 'L.E.I.' I am incredibly grateful for the wonderful opportunities I’ve received from the beginning. I hope that my music, created with love and respect for the works I cherish, will resonate with many people."

A teaser for L.E.I. can be viewed below, followed by the music video for THE RAMPAGE's latest single Endless Happy-Ending and a short video featuring Kawamura dancing solo to the song.
