Maon Kurosaki Passes Away

Anison singer Maon Kurosaki passed away on February 16th at the age of 35.

Kurosaki, who had been contending with ill health in recent years, suffered a deterioration in her condition earlier this month, bringing an untimely end to a twelve-year career that began in 2010 with a dozen ending theme songs for zombie apocalypse anime “HIGHSCHOOL OF THE DEAD”.

Alongside her prolific solo career, Kurosaki had also been a member of dance-pop trio ALTIMA and vocal duo ALIces, a lockdown-era collaboration with Sayaka Kanda. Her last single more＜STRONGLY, an ending theme song for “Reincarnated as a Sword”, was released on November 16th last year.
