Mugi The Cat will release a new album on May 17th.
SONG OF LIFE is the first album in four years from the feline singer-songwriter. It will contain ten songs, including
Mugi's recent run of season-themed digital singles:
Haru no Flower (Spring Flowers),
Natsu no enikki (Summer Memories),
Aki no U.F.O. (Autumn U.F.O.) and
Fuyu no wakusei (Winter Planet).
Elsewhere, back on January 4th,
Mugi released the digital single
Daisuki Panda, his second collaboration with singer and ukulelist
Ayano Tsuji, produced for long-running preschooler-oriented anime series "Shimajiro no Wow!".
Active since 2014, the Okinawa-based
Mugi The Cat is the reincarnation of a pet cat who passed away in 2009. He now occupies a body handmade by his owner
Yusaku-chan. He released his debut album
Tengoku kamo shirenai in 2017, followed in 2019 by Kimi ni ai ni on major label Victor Entertainment’s Speedstar Records imprint.
