WACK, the music production company behind acts such as BiS and BiSH, announced the formation of its first male idol group earlier this year. Recently, more details about the group were revealed.

Simply named BOYSGROUP, the unit consists of six members: SHUNJi, RiN, AYURU, RYOSEi, HARU and RYOTA. SHUNJi, RiN and RYOSEi were recruited from the "WACK Men's Joint Audition" held this February, while the other three members were chosen from a second audition held in August. A seventh member named HINATA was also recruited from the second audition, but withdrew from the group on October 30th to give his undivided attention to his studies.

BOYSGROUP will release their debut album We are BOYSGROUP on January 18th. It will contain 12 songs, including BG, Koiyamai and Zettai ni hanasanaide, which were used during the "WACK Men's Joint Audition". It will feature songwriting from artists such as Seiko Oomori, Yohji Igarashi, ex-Shiggy Jr. guitarist Shigeyuki Harada and Pecori from ODD Foot Works.

In addition, BOYSGROUP will hold their first one-man live, also titled We are BOYSGROUP, at Umeda Shangri-La in Osaka on January 29th.

Fans can follow their official Twitter account to stay tuned for more updates.
