Miyake Ken will release his first solo mini-album on November 16th.
V6 officially disbanded on November 1st, 2021 after 26 years together. The day after,
Miyake launched an official
Instagram account and he has been keeping busy with appearances on
TV and radio and features in magazines.
Recently, he announced that he will be starting music activities as a solo artist. His first mini-album will be titled
NEWWW, and it is said to be a work that showcases a new sense of values for him,
overturning stereotypes about idols and featuring music made in collaboration with artists he wants to work with.
The mini-album will be available in five editions. Limited Editions A and B will each come with either a bonus DVD or Blu-ray disc, the contents of which have not been revealed just yet. The regular edition will be CD-only. Details regarding
the tracklist will also be revealed at a later date.
In addition, he will embark on the nationwide
Ken Miyake NEWWW Live Tour 2022 to support the release on October 12th. It will wrap up at Fukuoka Sun Palace on November 11th. It was noted that he will be performing both songs from the mini-album
and tracks from
V6 at these shows.
