Yako Ikuta, better known as bassist RIO of power metal band Mary's Blood, will release her debut solo digital single on May 11th.
Lily will contain two as-yet-untitled songs and will feature cover artwork by Honma Rin. The news comes days after Mary's Blood began an indefinite hiatus after thirteen years of constant activity. Ikuta joined the band in 2012.
Mary's Blood's valedictory performance The Final Day ~Countdown to Evolution~ at Toyosu PIT on April 9th was preceded by the release of their first best-of compilation Queen's Legacy on the 6th. Among its sixteen tracks was Burning Blaze from the mini-album SCARLET, the band's first to feature RIO.
