Strawberry Prince's Nanamori Announces Hiatus from Live Streaming

Nanamori, the leader of popular utaite group Strawberry Prince (Sutopuri), has announced that he will be putting his live streaming activities on indefinite hiatus.

This decision comes as a result of a recent scandal where it was revealed that Nanamori had an ongoing affair with another woman while in a relationship with his common-law wife, with whom he has a child. After the rumours of the affair began to circulate on the internet, the group's label STPR Records, which Nanamori is also the CEO of, released a statement admitting that it was true and announcing that he would be restricting his activities to take time to reflect on his actions.

In a message on Twitter, Nanamori apologized for the selfishness and irresponsibility of his actions, and for causing trouble for the group and its fans.

Formed in 2016, Strawberry Prince consists of six members: Nanamori, Jel, Satomi, Root, Colon and Rinu. Each member has his own signature colour, with Nanamori's being purple. As utaites, the members originally made a name for themselves by performing covers of popular songs and uploading them to sites such as YouTube and Niconico. They also frequently live stream themselves chatting and playing video games, and some members also create content such as ASMR or comedy skits. While they have branched into in-person live performances and they also release original songs and physical CDs, live streaming still makes up a large percentage of their activities.
