Ekotumi to Tour Europe

Japanese mythology-inspired singer-songwriter/author Ekotumi recently announced that she will be embarking on a short European tour this month.

The tour will begin with several performances at Made in Asia, a convention/festival that will be held in Brussels, Belgium from October 8th to 10th. Visit the festival's official website for more details on the event and Ekotumi's scheduled appearances.

When JaME interviewed Ekotumi towards the end of 2020, she mentioned that she was working on a project using holograms. In addition to her live performances, fans will get a chance to experience this unique work, a hologram "mini-Ekotumi" that will sing about Japanese mythology, at Made in Asia.

In addition, Ekotumi will be performing a solo show at The Lexington, London N1 in the UK on October 13th. While she performed on the HYPER JAPAN Main Stage in England in 2016, this will be her first solo concert in the UK. Tickets for the event are available for purchase here.

These appearances will also be promoting a new single Ekotumi just released on October 1st. Titled A Wingless Country, the song was created as a means of recording memories of life under COVID-19. The song pairs music recorded during the world lockdowns from March to May 2020 with Japanese soundscapes, comprising 205 sounds from 88 areas.
