As previously reported, electropop trio Perfume released a new EP titled Polygon Wave EP on September 22nd.

They also revealed a music video for the title track today. The video is directed by Yusuke Tanaka, who worked with Perfume on past music videos such as TimeWarp, Spring of Life, Spending all my time and Mirai no Museum.

Inspired by the theme "midnight drive", the video combines virtual and real scenes. The "virtual" scene shows Perfume’s dance and vocal performance surrounded by black pyramids with wire frame patterns similar to their outfits. The "real" scene shows the streets of Tokyo at nighttime as the trio drive through the city. The video switches seamlessly between these two worlds, linking them together. Towards the end of the video, as each member of Perfume disappears from the car, the viewer realizes that the "real" driving scene was also "virtual".
