Singer-songwriter Vicke Blanka will release a new single on March 17th.
The title track, Ponytail, is said to be a "delicate mid-tempo ballad with a springtime theme tinged with the melancholy of fleeting romance". The track was arranged by Akimitsu Honma, who has produced acclaimed artists such as
Porno Graffitti and Ikimono-gakari.
The title song from Ponytail was just released on digital stores and streaming services on February 12th. Links to find the release on Spotify and Apple Music are available here.
In addition, a music video for the track has been revealed on YouTube. The video stars Hinako Sakurai, an up-and-coming young actress. It follows two young people as they follow their dreams; the past and the present intersect, and their story unfolds
with both joy and sorrow. With themes of opening the door to something new, taking a bold step and making a fresh start, it is said to be a perfect fit for springtime.
Ponytail is scheduled to hit stores on CD on March 17th, and the physical release will add a B-side titled Ten and instrumental versions of both tracks.
The single will be available in four editions. The regular edition will be CD-only, while the CD+DVD and CD+Blu-ray editions will add a bonus disc with live and documentary footage. The version exclusive to Vicke Blanka's fanclub "French Link" will add
footage from a fanclub-exclusive concert and a bath towel and hair elastic featuring designs inspired by the single.
