Singer-songwriter Mariya Takeuchi's best-of compilation Expressions was recently released on streaming platforms worldwide.
The compilation was originally released in 2008, in commemoration of the thirtieth anniversary of Takeuchi's solo debut. It was a triple-disc collection of forty-two tracks spanning the singer's career up to that point. Ten songs that were first released prior to Takeuchi joining Warner Music Japan are currently unavailable internationally.
Notable songs include city pop staple Plastic Love, a remix of which became a viral hit in 2017; and Sutekina Holiday, which has been the soundtrack to an annual Christmas campaign by KFC Japan since 2000.
