Singer and actor Masaki Suda recently teamed up with fellow actor Tomoya Nakamura for a collaboration single.
Titled Thank You Kamisama, the song hit digital stores and streaming services on August 28th. The track was created during the "stay home" period ushered in by the coronavirus crisis. Suda reached out to Nakamura, a colleague
he respected, stating that he wanted not to act, but to sing together. They wrote the lyrics together online, hoping that the song would help give some strength and hope to people who feel alone during this difficult global situation. The two men also drew the
jacket art for the single together.

A music video for the song has been revealed on Suda's official YouTube channel as well. It features both men and their mutual friend Tori Matsuzaka, who is also an actor.
The video features Suda and Nakamura going to a studio to get their portrait taken, with Matsuzaka playing the role of the photographer. It also splices together scenes documenting each character's day leading up to the shoot. It was directed by Kyotaro Hayashi, who also worked on the MV for Suda's
hit song written by Kenshi Yonezu, Machigai sagashi. The artist picture for the single was selected from one of the shots actually taken by Matsuzaka while he was performing as the photographer.

Masaki Suda started his career as an actor in 2009, starring in the TV action series "Kamen Rider W", and he has since been featured in movies, dramas, commercials and more. In 2013, he received the “Best New Actor” award at the 37th Japanese Academy
Awards. He debuted as a singer in 2017 with the single Mitakotomonai keshiki, and while he is balancing his work as a musician with his busy acting schedule, he has already released five singles and two albums.
Tomoya Nakamura started his acting career in 2005, and he has been featured in countless movies, dramas, plays and musicals. His singing recently drew attention when he landed the lead role for the Japanese dub of the live action Disney
movie "Aladdin".
