Rock band The Songbards will release a new mini-album on September 23rd.
SOLITUDE will feature five tracks, including Mado ni sasu hikari no you ni, which was released as a preceding digital single in June.
SOLITUDE is said to be the first of a trilogy of releases. The title comes from the band members' hope that the contents of the mini-album will help listeners combat the feelings of loneliness they experience when they compare themselves to others.
The songs are said to offer a diverse mix of sounds, and they are intended to be listened to both individually and as one seamless conceptual track.
The release comes about 10 months after The Songbards' major debut album, CHOOSE LIFE, which hit stores in November 2019.
Formed in 2017, The Songbards have a UK rock-influenced sound that is notable for its twin guitars and vocals, as well as well-coordinated chorus work. The band's name has a double meaning, stemming from the English words "Songbird" and
"bard".
In addition to earning spots at major festivals like ROCK IN JAPAN and COMIN' KOBE in Japan through auditions, The Songbards have also performed 12 shows in the UK to date, and they are said to have a busy schedule planned for the future.
