It was announced recently that GLAY frontman TERU and guitarist HISASHI will be making an appearance at Carnevale di Venezia.
This will be the fourth year in a row TERU has appeared at the event, but the first time for HISASHI. They will be accompanied by DJ Mass.
During a concert commemorating the 20th anniversary of GLAY's fanclub HAPPY SWING in 2016, TERU stated that one of his goals was for the band to celebrate its 30th anniversary, which will take place in 2026, at St. Mark's Square
in Venice. To start putting the wheels in motion for that to happen, TERU performed a solo acoustic set at the same event in 2017 and he brought guitarist TAKURO along with him for a second performance in 2018. Bassist JIRO joined
him instead in 2019.
This year's installment of the event is already in progress. It began on February 8th and it will stretch until February 25th. TERU and HISASHI are scheduled to perform at 5:45 pm on February 24th. Keep your eye on Carnevale di Venezia's
official website and GLAY's social media accounts for more details.
GLAY recently revealed a teaser for a track titled Into the Wild. The song is one of the two new tracks that will be featured on their 25th anniversary best-of album REVIEW II -BEST OF GLAY-, which is scheduled to hit stores on March
11th.
The band also took part in YouTube Music Night last year, and their full performance is available for streaming on YouTube for a limited time.
