MOTHER, the latest band signed to visual kei label GOEMON RECORDS, has revealed some new music.
Yesterday, the band released three tracks titled Ave Maria, SLAVERY DOLLY and MASK via digital stores and streaming platforms. Links to download and stream the new releases are available here.
Previously, the band had only officially released one song, their debut track Someni, which was also made available as a digital single on January 31st.
MOTHER debuted in 2019, stating that they are four animals who discovered music after watching a band perform on a smartphone that was dropped in their forest. Short animated videos posted on their YouTube channel document their progress as they
strive to gather "karma" from their audience through playing live shows and selling merchandise. This "karma" allows the members to temporarily take on human form. Their current goal is to sell 700 tickets to their upcoming May 10th Mother's Day one-man
.
The band's members include some familiar faces from the scene who have taken on few identities. Kitsune frontman Ako was formerly
VRZEL's Cion, dog guitarist Shian was
DEVIZE's LARM, tanuki bassist Ruru was previously a member of Jupiter under the name RUCY and KILLANETH as rushi, and dinosaur drummer Jake was also part of some lesser known visual kei bands.
The lyric video for Someni can be viewed below, followed by a video of the members attempting to sell tickets to their Mother's Day one-man out on the street.
