New Single from Yakushimaru Etsuko

Anison singer-songwriter Yakushimaru Etsuko will release a new single on October 30th.

Unknown World Map's title track currently serves as the closing theme for anime series "Hi Score Girl II". The single will also contain a remix of the title track by ex-Denki Groove producer Yoshinori Sunahara, and a rearranged version co-produced by Yakushimaru's Sotaisei Riron bandmate Motoki Yamaguchi.

On the same date, King Records will release NEW GENE, inspired from Phoenix. Intended to commemorate the 90th birthday of late manga artist Osamu Tezuka, the album contains ten tracks from various artists inspired by Tezuka's manga "Phoenix".

Amongst these will be Human Is, a song Yakushimaru produced in collaboration with Austrian guitarist Fennesz. Other featured acts include rock duo GLIM SPANKY and ex-BLANKEY JET CITY frontman Kenichi Asai.
