After over a decade together under their current name (and six additional years of history for three quarters of their line-up as the emo band for better, for worse), rock band Good Morning America have announced that they will be putting their activities on hold in 2020.
The band will pause activities after the final date of a one-man tour titled Mata aeru yo ne. Consisting of three dates, the tour will end at Umeda CLUB QUATTRO on
January 25th.
The band's announcement stated that this is a result of the members each reassessing the paths they want their lives to take in the future. In an individual comment, frontman Shingo Kanehiro stated that they have chosen to put the band on hiatus so that they will be able to continue on with the same four members. He wrote that the day they will return to the stage together has not been decided, but that he
will continue to hone his skills in anticipation of it.
However, there is one bright spot for the band's fans: Good Morning America announced that they will release a final single titled Full Throttle on October 16th. It will feature two tracks: the title song and the B-side Cream Soda.
