Mikansei Alice vocalist Rui Alicegawa has announced that he will release his first solo single on June 5th.
The timing may seem a bit odd, as Mikansei Alice are currently in the middle of a tour of the 47 prefectures of Japan, with a second one scheduled to follow in 2020. However, Rui has been holding TwitCasts periodically and posting snippets of himself playing piano on social media and, encouraged by the response from the fans, he decided to create a formal solo release.
The single will be titled Last Letter. It will contain the title song, a B-side titled If... and instrumental versions of both tracks.
Rui will be performing the songs from the release live at the event Dark Ambition Exposed Vol.103 ~Acoustic Special~, which will be held at Shibuya Malcolm on June 3rd. At this event, he will be performing alongside YUKI from LIRAIZO as well as many of his labelmates, such as DaISUKE DARK SIDE from THE SOUND BEE HD, Scarlet Valse frontman Kakeru, ex-Schwarz Kain vocalist Izumi, and more.
