LUNA SEA's 30th Anniversary Single

LUNA SEA will reach the 30th anniversary of their formation on May 29th this year, and they have announced the release of a new double A-side single to celebrate.

So far, only one of the two title tracks has been revealed. Sora no uta ~Higher and Higher~ will be used as the opening theme for the anime series "Mobile Suit Gundam the Origin - Eve of the Red Comet", which will begin airing on April 29th. LUNA SEA will also be performing the anime's other two opening themes, and one of these songs will be the second title track of the single. The series' ending themes will be produced by the band's guitarist SUGIZO.

The single will be available in three editions. All three will be CD-only featuring the two title tracks, but Limited Edition A will have a brand new "Mobile Suit Gundam the Origin" cover illustration by the series' character designer Yasuhiko Yoshikazu, while Limited Edition B will feature a special LUNA SEA cover drawn by Yasuhiko instead.

In addition, LUNA SEA will also be holding a free concert limited to members of their fanclub "SLAVE" at Zepp Tokyo on the same day the single hits stores. Just a few days later, they will hold two back-to back shows at the famous Nippon Budokan on May 31st and June 1st.
