Visual kei band
0801ni209XX6 (or "Zero Hachi" for short) have announced that they are planning to release a new mini-album.
Vocalist
Yukari announced via
Twitter that they are currently recording songs and intend to release a five-track mini-album via platforms like iTunes in the future. Further details about the release date, title and tracklist will be announced later on, but he mentioned that all five tracks are new songs and specified that this will be a digital-only release.
Regarding whether or not there will be concerts to accompany the release,
Yukari stated that this is currently a "music-only revival". The members do not have any plans to perform live at the moment and are just focusing on making new music for the fans to enjoy. While
Yukari did not rule out the possibility that they may perform together again one day, guitarist
Satsuki stated in a
Twitter post that he has no intention of returning to the stage once the recording is finished.
Yukari also stated that, since digital releases do not include lyrics and he knows some fans might be curious about them, he is planning to upload the lyrics for the mini-album on Twitter after it is released.
Formed in 2008 under the name

0801ni209XX6 originally disbanded in 2015. Shortly afterwards, three of the band's members re-emerged with a new band called
GAMEOVER. While
GAMEOVER also disbanded in January 2018, the members performed a special two-man show where
0801ni209XX6 was revived for one night only on November 20th, 2017 before they parted ways.
