Matenrou Opera's Sono Unveils Solo Project

Sono, the frontman of symphonic metal band Matenrou Opera, has unveiled a new solo project named Unmei Kosaten.

Fans will get their first glimpse of this new project on October 12th, at Unmei Kosaten's debut live at Aoyama Tamimoru Kimono. Sono will take the stage with a four-piece support band featuring Versailles drummer YUKI and SPEED OF LIGHTS keyboardist SHOKO.

This will be followed by the release of Unmei Kosaten's debut single Saiko no shunkan on October 19th. Based on the short preview below, it sounds like Unmei Kosaten's music will have more of a rock flavor compared to Sono's other work.
