This year marks the 10th anniversary of sibling folk duo Hirakawachi 1-chome's disbandment.

While older brother Ryunosuke Hayashi has been active as a solo artist in recent years, younger brother Naojiro has been essentially retired from the music scene since Hirakawachi 1-chome parted ways in 2008. However, this January, the brothers announced via a Twitcast that they will commemorate this special anniversary with a summer reunion tour.

Their Hirakawachi 1-chome 2018 "Kaisan juunen kinen Tour" will begin at Tokyo's Shindaita FEVER on August 12th, and it will wrap up at Shibuya CLUB QUATTRO on September 3rd. The tour will feature a total of seven dates. Ryunosuke has stated that this will likely be just a temporary return, as Naojiro currently has no plans to continue performing after the end of the tour.

Fans can follow Ryunosuke and Hirakawachi 1-chome's new staff Twitter account for more updates.
