Syu to Release Instrumental Solo Album

Syu, the guitarist from symphonic metal band GALNERYUS, will release an instrumental solo album on November 9th.

Titled YOU PLAY HARD!, it will contain 10 tracks, including instrumental versions of two GALNERYUS songs: CHAIN OF DISTRESS and ENDLESS STORY. The release will come with a tab sheet and Syu's original pick.

Musicians who contributed to the release include: all of the current GALNERYUS members, ex-GALNERYUS drummer Jun-ichi, Gargoyle drummer KATSUJI and Yasuhiro Mizuno, the drummer from SABER TIGER.

In 2010, Syu also released a solo cover album titled Crying Stars -Stand Proud!-, which contained covers of Against The Wind by STRATOVARIUS, DREAM THEATER's The Spirit Carries On, Only For The Weak by IN FLAMES, and many other songs. Many famous musicians from the Japanese metal scene also took part in the recording of that release.
