Famous idol group AKB48 will release their 45th single on August 31st. Titled LOVE TRIP / Shiawase wo wakenasai, the single will come out in 11 editions.
LOVE TRIP was the main theme of the TV drama series "Toki wo kakeru shoujo" and Shiawase wo wakenasai has been used as a CM song for the wedding service "Zexy". With the exception of the special "Theater Edition", which is CD-only and available through King Records' online store, all of the editions are accompanied by a bonus DVD. All 11 versions feature the two title tracks as well as the new song Hikari to kage no hibi, a currently untitled piece, which is expected to vary from type to type, and their respective instrumental versions. The DVDs offer the music videos for all of the songs from the CD. Like most of AKB48's limited releases, these types come with a ticket for an event that is only valid in Japan.
Furthermore, on August 17th AKB48 will release a DVD and Blu-ray box, titled AKB Horror Night Adrenaline no yoru. The sets consist of six discs each and they feature all 41 episodes of the TV drama series of the same name, as well as various bonus footage. The story is based on a book that was written by AKB48 producer Akimoto Yasushi.
Finally, it should be noted that the idol group just released a new live DVD and Blu-ray on July 20th featuring the graduation lives of Takahashi Minami. Both the DVD and Blu-ray formats of Shuku Takahashi Minami Sotsugyo "148.5cm no mita yume" in Yokohama Stadium feature six discs in total. Disc one includes the Takahashi Minami graduation live on March 27th, 2016. Disc two offers another live recorded at AKB48 Theater on April 8th, while disc three contains a making-of video for Takahashi Minami Sotsugyo Concert 2016.03.27 Yokohama Stadium alongside other bonus contents. Discs four and five document even more shows, and disc six offers a general making-of video. The box set comes in a digipak and contains a 120-page booklet as well as five randomly selected photos.
