BAND A to Disband

BAND A is an indie rock band hailing from Fukuoka that has been active for about nine years now. Unfortunately, they recently announced that they plan to go their separate ways.

The news likely came as a shock to longtime fans, as BAND A just released their first full-length album o ka x ka ("Maru ka batsu ka") last year. The break-up was announced after guitarist Oka Aiko and drummer Nakajima Motoyoshi decided to withdraw from the group and the remaining members concluded that BAND A should not continue without them.

The band's final one-man will be at Shimokitazawa Daisy Bar on March 22nd. The members have posted comments on their official website apologizing for the announcement and promising to do their best for the remaining lives. Oka and frontman Hara Kouhei also assured fans that they intend to continue making music.
