As we reported a few months ago, GLAY will be releasing a new album titled MUSIC LIFE on November 5th.

It will include eleven songs and be available in three versions. Two of the versions will feature a best-of ballad compilation as a bonus CD, and the regular edition will have just the album.

One bonus CD, BALLADE BEST - MELODIES, includes fourteen of the band's best-known ballads that fans selected by vote. Although another bonus CD, BALLADE BEST - MEMORIES, is available through G-DIRECT (the band's official online store), and it includes thirteen ballads that the band members selected due to their own emotional attachments.

Both bonus CDs will also include one new song, Sakurabito. The song was written by TAKURO on a request from "Fukushima Hama-Kaido Sakura Project" that operated with a non-profit organization to help with the recovery of Fukushima. "Hama-Kaido" has become a restricted area because of the aftermath of the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami. The project asked TAKURO to write a cherry blossom song, and he agreed.

The album's artwork was designed by Klaus Voormann, a legendary German illustrator and musician who won a Grammy for his work on the cover of The Beatles' Revolver. This is the first time he has designed for a Japanese artist.

Although Sakurabito and all of the songs from the album (minus the other tracks on the bonus CDs) can be listened to on the band's official website, you can also check out GLAY's latest PVs, Hyakka ryouran and Hashire! Mirai below.
