GLAY have announced two new releases for the fall.
The first will be a double A-side single titled
Hyakkaryouran / Hashire! Mirai on October 15th.
Hashire! Mirai was composed by vocalist
TERU and will be used as the new theme to the anime series "Daiya no A" ("Ace of Diamond"). This will be
GLAY's first anime tie-up in about 15 years.
TERU has stated that he is a big fan of the series and re-read the manga from the beginning while writing the lyrics.
Hyakkaryouran was written by
TAKURO and is described as a heavy rock song.
The single will also include four live tracks from a studio session held on July 29th this year and a digest preview of the band's upcoming new album,
MUSIC LIFE. The limited edition will feature a bonus DVD with PVs for the title tracks, making-of footage and video of the studio session tracks.
The aforementioned album
MUSIC LIFE will hit stores sometime in November, and will also be released in two versions. The limited edition will include a second disc called
BALLADE BEST☆MELODIES, which is a fan-voted ballad best-of album that comes ten years after
GLAY's last ballad compilation
WHITE ROAD. The results of the poll to choose the tracklist can be viewed
