X JAPAN at Madison Square Garden and New Best-of Album

YOSHIKI, currently touring the world to promote his latest classical album, announced during his concert in San Francisco recently that X JAPAN will hold a concert at Madison Square Garden in New York. The concert will take place on October 11th. More details will be announced at a later date. With this concert, X JAPAN will be the second Japanese band headlining at Madison Square Garden, after L'Arc~en~Ciel's concert there in 2012.

But that is not the only news about X JAPAN, who sorely tried the patience of their fans for years now. The band has finally announced a release date for their new album. Celebrating their 25th anniversary as a band in 2014, X JAPAN will release their best-of album titled THE WORLD～X JAPAN Hatsu no zensekai best～ on June 17th.

Already on May 21st, it will be digitally released in 111 countries worldwide via iTunes, titled X JAPAN WORLD BEST. The digital as well as physical release will contain remastered versions of X JAPAN's songs from their beginning in 1989 until now, plus two live versions of X and Without You.

The CD release in June will come in regular and limited editions, each containing more tracks than the digital release. While the regular edition contains two CDs only, the limited edition is furnished with an additional DVD featuring an exclusive trailer of their world tour from 2009 to 2011 as well as a 60-page photo book of this tour.
