YOSHIKI GRAMMY Museum Exhibition and World Tour Announcement

On February 19th in downtown Los Angeles, multitalented musician and composer YOSHIKI launched his GRAMMY Museum exhibition and #Yoshiki Classical World Tour with a special performance at the 2014 Kickoff Party. The event was hosted by the X JAPAN leader’s friend and comic book collaborator, Marvel Entertainment’s Chairman Emeritus, Stan Lee.

“It’s the first time,” said William Morris Endeavor’s Head of Music, Marc Geiger, of YOSHIKI’s exhibit in The GRAMMY Museum lobby at a press conference held before the event. “However, he (YOSHIKI) has given some of his costumes to the permanent collection of The GRAMMY Museum. On and off through the next few years, we will be showing that and hopefully other costumes that we will get from YOSHIKI to display. So, he has now become part of our Grammy family.”

The YOSHIKI exhibit features commemorative platinum and gold records, two costumes, articles, branded credit cards, the YOSHIKI-Hello Kitty YOSHIKITTY plush, and a copy of the YOSHIKI-Stan Lee comic, “Blood Red Dragon.”

Afterwards at the 2014 Kickoff Party held on the rooftop terrace of the museum, YOSHIKI performed several songs from his YOSHIKI Classical album with a string quartet and announced the dates, countries and venues for the #Yoshiki Classical World Tour. The tour includes several dates in the Americas, Asia and Europe.
