Two New Releases from SCANDAL

Four-piece female rock band SCANDAL have announced the release of a new single and album for the upcoming months.

First of all, they will release the new single OVER DRIVE on September 18th. The title track has been produced by CAPSULE's Yasutaka Nakata, while the cover art was designed by actor Lily Franky.

OVER DRIVE will be available in two editions, each featuring the title track and its instrumental version, plus the B-side SCANDAL IN THE HOUSE. This track is a dance number featuring vocals by all four of SCANDAL's members, and is the band's first ever all-electronic track. The regular edition of the single will be CD-only and will include a SCANDAL sticker, while the limited edition will come with a DVD featuring the PV for Kimi to mirai to kanzen douki.

SCANDAL will then release their fifth album on October 2nd. The album, titled STANDARD, marks the fifth anniversary of the band's debut, and will feature thirteen tracks, including the aforementioned new single. The album will be available in three editions. The regular version will be CD-only and its first press editions will come with a sticker of one of the band members. Some special versions of these stickers will be signed by the band member. The limited CD+DVD edition will include the music videos for Awanai tsumori no genki de ne, Kagen no tsuki and SCANDAL IN THE HOUSE. The CD+Goods edition will be CD-only and is set to come with an original T-shirt.
