Sixth Cover Album from JERO

Popular enka singer JERO's sixth cover album has been made available digitally worldwide.

COVERS 6 came out in stores in Japan today, and has also been given a worldwide digital release through iTunes. For publishing reasons, the album's seventh track, Hoshikage no waltz, cannot be included on the wordlwide release.

The singer's sixth cover album features new versions of hit songs which reached No.1 on the Japanese singles charts and includes a cover of the song Oyoge! Taiyaki-kun, which is Japan's highest-selling single of all time, with cumulative sales of 4.5 million copies. The song was originally used for popular children's TV program “Hirake Ponkikki” in 1975.

JERO's new version of the song has also been used on the program and can be viewed below:
