J-Rock Blasts-Off 1-2-3!! in New York

A special Japanese music event, titled J-Rock Blasts-Off 1-2-3!!, will be held in New York City on August 15th.

Run by events organisers Mar Creation, the event will take place at Sullivan Hall in Lower Manhattan and will feature both local and visiting Japanese artists. The line-up consists of New York solo artist Mariko, Japanese duo Mugen Hoso and punk trio THE AKABANE VULGARS ON STRONG BYPASS. The event will take place from 7pm and tickets are priced at $10. Mar Creation are also planning J-Summit, one of their regular events, which will take place on September 1st at the Bowery Electric in New York City. J-Summit is a six-hour showcase where Japanese musicians can perform in support of tsunami relief. Performing artists can range from rock and pop to traditional music, although a line-up for the upcoming event has yet to be confirmed.
