Southern All Stars are a testament to the occasionally unfickle nature of the Japanese music industry. Launched in 1975, the band is still going strong, and remain one of the biggest-selling Japanese acts in history.

Fronted by the charismatic Kuwata Keisuke, Southern All Stars have often courted controversy throughout their long history, with certain songs even branded obscene. They've embrace a wide range of musical styles in thier career, covering rock, pop and their folk roots.
